With a nine month internship program, the intern must be responsible for certain costs. The nuts and bolts of the program are outlined below. Please be sure to review each aspect in detail so that you will better gauge what the internship will cost financially.

How much will it cost?
The base tuition for Velocity is $4999 per year. This covers the following:

  • Room and Board
  • Books
  • Field Trips
  • Retreats
  • Supplies
  • A Seacoast Church Ministry degree
  • Gym Membership
  • Some apparel and accessories required for daily workouts
  • Misc cost related to program

A non-refundable pre-registration fee of $300 is due by August 25; the remaining $4699 is due by Orientation.

Payment plans are available. Tuition with payment plan increases $50/month for a total of $5449.

Other Nuts and Bolts

Gas Charge
A $50 monthly gas fee will be required if the intern does not have a car and relies upon other interns for transportation.

Health Insurance
It is required that all interns are accepted into Velocity have health insurance. Seacoast Church will not provide this coverage or be held liable for medical expenses.

Mission Trips
Interns will be required to raise $3500 for two overseas mission trips and will participate in team fundraisers throughout the program to help offset the costs for these trips. Interns will be required to order a passport no later than Orientation Day.

Laptop Computer
Every intern is required to have a laptop computer with them during the duration of the internship. If you are bringing your own laptop, requirements must be met. If you want us to purchase a laptop for you, then there will be an extra $1000 cost to your tuition.

Minimum Notebook Computer Requirements:

    • Computer and processor - 1.5 gigahertz (GHz) processor or higher
    • Memory - 512 megabyte (MB) RAM or greater
    • Hard disk - 40 gigabyte (GB) or greater
    • Optical Drive - CD-ROM or DVD drive
    • Display - 1024x768 or higher resolution
    • Operating system - Microsoft Windows XP (Home or Professional) with Service Pack (SP) 2
    • Input device (touchpad or mouse)
    • Wireless adapter (801.11 a/g)
    • Microsoft Office 2003 or 2007 Home and Student Edition
